With growing global concern for food security as a result of challenges facing food production, climate change, and natural disasters affecting access to food, food security is one of the most important pillars of community development and political stability.

The UAE has succeeded in providing all of its food needs through the development of infrastructure, logistics, strengthening of external supply chains, investing in the agriculture sector around the world and taking advantage of new technology to improve the production process. Despite the limited contribution of domestic production, the development of this sector in the UAE remains a priority that cannot be abandoned.

Expected outcomes :

  • Improving food security policies and strategies
  • Quick plans to address the challenges of the private sector and ways to attract investment to support the food security system


  1. Strengthening the food security system and enabling strategic partnerships at the local and federal levels in the country
  2. Identify the requirements of the private sector and investors in the food and agriculture sector to overcome obstacles and obstacles to business development
  3. Identify the requirements of complementary roles between government agencies (local and federal) to support the food security system in the country
  4. Recommendations and action plans at the local and federal levels to contribute to improving the business environment and partnerships with the private sector to develop the agricultural and food sectors
